Select from feedback
Selects the vehicle that is standing on a feedback sensor. The action reads the vehicle address that the sensor reports and makes that vehicle the active vehicle of the script, just like Select vehicle does.
This requires feedback hardware that reports addresses, such as RailCom detectors.
Settings
| Setting | Description |
|---|---|
| Sensor | The feedback sensor to read the vehicle address from. Select it from your layout. |
| Wait for occupancy | When on, the action waits until the sensor reports a vehicle. When off, the action reads the sensor once and the script continues, also when no vehicle is detected. |
| Apply flags | When on and the detected address belongs to a vehicle in your vehicles list, the flags of that vehicle become active. |
How it works
- When the sensor reports more than one address, the first one is used.
- When the address belongs to a vehicle in your vehicles list, its name and speed steps are used. Otherwise the vehicle is controlled with 128 speed steps.
- When no vehicle is detected and Wait for occupancy is off, the selection does not change: the vehicle that was selected before stays selected.
- The execution log shows which vehicle was detected.
Example
An event-triggered script starts when the sensor at the station entrance becomes active. It doesn't know in advance which train arrives, so it starts with Select from feedback on that sensor. The rest of the script (slow down, stop, play an announcement, depart again) then works for every train that enters the station.
