Driving and editing, each in its own workspace

Workspaces

Model Train Script has two workspaces: one for driving your layout and one for editing your profile. Each keeps its own screens, so you can switch back and forth without losing your place.

WorkspaceWhat you do there
ThrottleDrive your locomotives, control the layout, and run your automation. See Throttle. Needs a connection to your command station.
ProfileEdit your vehicles, layout, scripts, timetables, and the rest of your profile. Works without a connection.

Switching workspaces

The workspace toggle sits in the top-left, next to the MTS button. It shows both workspaces — a controller for Throttle and a profile icon for Profile — with the current one highlighted. Tap the toggle anywhere to switch to the other workspace.

When you switch, your profile is saved, so the changes you made in the Profile workspace are used straight away when you drive.

TIP

Each workspace remembers where you were. Open a script in the Profile workspace, switch to the Throttle to try it out, and switch back: the script is still open.
